QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth Engine, PyQGIS & ArcPy Courses in Guwahati

Both are Python libraries for GIS automation — but for different platforms. PyQGIS is for QGIS (free, open-source) and lets you script, automate, and build plugins within the QGIS environment. ArcPy is Esri’s Python library for ArcGIS Pro (licensed) and lets you automate geoprocessing, build custom toolboxes, and script advanced spatial analysis workflows. If your organisation uses QGIS, learn PyQGIS. If it uses ArcGIS Pro, learn ArcPy. If you use both — learn both. Spaceborne offers live courses in each, and many Guwahati students combine them.

A basic familiarity with Python is recommended — understanding variables, loops, functions, and how to run a Python script. You do not need to be an expert. Yes — Google Earth Engine is free for non-commercial research and education use. You need to register for a free GEE account (takes 24–48 hours for approval). Once approved, you get access to petabytes of satellite imagery and GEE’s cloud computing platform at no cost. Our GEE course guides you through the registration and setup process in the very first session.
