Module 2: Forest Cover Mapping & Vegetation Indices
- Sub Module 1: Image Preprocessing (Atmospheric & Geometric Correction)
- Sub Module 2: Vegetation Indices (NDVI, EVI, NDWI), Hands-on: Forest Health Assessment
- Sub Module 3: Canopy Density & Forest Health Monitoring
Learning Outcome: Compute vegetation indices and assess forest health and canopy cover.
Module 3: Forest Classification & Land Use Mapping
- Sub Module 1: Supervised & Unsupervised Classification, Hands-on: Forest Type Mapping
- Sub Module 2: Land Use / Land Cover Mapping in Forest Landscapes
- Sub Module 3: Accuracy Assessment & Reporting, Confusion Matrix Hands-on
Learning Outcome: Perform forest type classification, generate LULC maps, and validate results.
Module 4: Forest Monitoring & Resource Assessment
- Sub Module 1: Biomass & Carbon Stock Estimation using RS & GIS
- Sub Module 2: Deforestation & Forest Degradation Monitoring
- Sub Module 3: Fire Risk & Pest Infestation Mapping, Hands-on: Identify High-risk Areas
